Online LTC Training for Texas Concealed Carry

If you are going to carry a gun in many states, including Texas, there are some good reasons to get a License to Carry. First, there are a number of business that allow you to carry concealed if you have a legitimate permit while they don’t allow you to carry concealed or openly if you don’t have the LTC. Fines and jail time are possible if you violate statute of establishments that have the correct signage posted. It’s just simpler with an LTC.

Second, a lot of states, including Texas, have statistical data on arrest rates of the general population verses LTC holders and even law enforcement officer arrest rates. In Texas these stats show that those with a LTC are less likely to be arrested for violent, and non-violent crimes than the general population and the overall arrest rate for LTC holders is lower than it is for law enforcement officers. Online LTC training is self-paced, convenient, and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. Enrollment is easy and it’s affordable. You will still have to get fingerprinted and do demonstrate shooting competency at a range with a authorized person to administer and sign off for you. But doing the classroom portion online is a great way to get started.
