Modern firearm in good working condition

1,000 rounds of ammo appropriate for the firearm you bring

Holster, preferably a strong side hip holster or appendix carry holster. No ankle holsters or cross draw holsters.

(Your pants need to use a belt to secure your holster, No sweatpants or warmup suit type pants)

Eye and ear protection (Highly recommend electronic muffs or electronic ear plugs.)

Recommended to bring these items:

Magazine loader

Sunscreen and bug spray

Water and/or sports drinks

Snacks

Weather appropriate clothing

Baseball type cap with a bill

Shirt with a high and somewhat tight neck

Avoid sandles or crocks, wear shoes with a rubber sole that completely cover your feet

(Why certain types of clothes?  Well when you shoot from a semi-auto pistol, hot brass flies around a lot.  You don’t want to get hit in the eye with with a hot piece of flying brass.  If you just wear safety or prescription glasses, you can have the brass hit and stay right on top of the glasses frame and against your eyebrow.  Wearing a cap with a bill can help prevent this.   Hot brass going down one’s shirt is also not much fun and it can cause you to dance around trying to get it out, while you have a loaded pistol in your hand.  As for shoes, sneakers or hiking type shoes work pretty well.  Not only will you be protecting the tops of your feet but we will do some shoot and move drills and having proper footwear is a must.)
